Jeanette Walker is an experienced designer/goldsmith and entrepreneur. She graduated with honors in 1993 from the Jewellery Arts Program at George Brown College in Toronto. Jeanette specializes in custom design using silver, bronze, copper, gold and platinum to create an artful collection of fine jewellery. She was awarded Best New Product at the PEICC Christmas Craft fair in 2003, Best Booth award in 2004, and was a recipient of a Residence Scholarship at Metal Arts Studio in Toronto at the beginning of her career.

Ms. Walker's business started in Toronto exhibiting and selling her unique jewellery pieces at various art and craft shows. In 2001, she moved to Mayfield, near Cavendish, Prince Edward Island and set up a studio/gallery. In May, 2006, Jeanette and her partner Lindsay, moved Walker Studios to Charlottetown.

It is along the boardwalk which takes visitors and residents along the Charlottetown waterfront overlooking the harbour entrance. She also continues to exhibit in Maritime Shows, such as PEICC and NSDCC craft shows and the Saltscapes Expo.

All work is made using the ancient and traditional techniques of repouss (formed as a raised pattern on a thin piece of metal by having been hammered through from the reverse side), sandcasting, forging, and hand engraving. In addition, she embraces lapidary, marriage of metals and gemsetting to create high end, labour intensive pieces. While the techniques are traditional, the design is unique and contemporary.
