The Acadiens have been apple growing since the 17th century and our family, the Bourgeois Family, one of the pioneers in this part of the country, is proud to carry on this tradition at Pr-d'en-Haut, one of the most beautiful villages in Acadie. It was Camille Sébastien Bourgeois know as Bastien, who was the first to get involved in the adventure of growing apples in 1932, with the verger Beauséjour, as it was named at the time. The orchard later became the proprety of the Congregation of Holy Cross in 1956, who renamed it les Vergers Belliveau. In 1967, Louis Bourgeois acquired the orchards. Today, Robert is continuing the family tradition at the Bourgeois Farms.
