Brent has been a cabinet-maker since 1982. He first started making oval boxes 20 years ago. In 1996, he established his existing business and started to work full time in 1997. For 9 years he operated from his home workshop in the Village of Hampton. He produces fine furniture and has developed production products inspired by original Shaker designs. Brent is one of only 2 producers in North America producing oval boxes based on Shaker design. Over the past several years he has been building an export market. He has established markets in North America and recently has been exploring potential markets in Japan. He is a member of NB Craft Council and the BC Craft Council. Brent has been so successful in his production of Shaker oval boxes that he won the 2006 Atlantic Craft Exporter of the Year Award.
Currently, Brent employs 2 full time employees.
